Dear Students,

Makerere Guild/student elections will for the first time be held digitally in order to minimise the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. This forms part of the new normal which has resulted into the adoption of ODeL at Makerere and the automation of business process
operations across all sectors the world over.

Electronic voting for student elections is not a new phenomenon and has been done in many universities the world over (including African universities especially in the Republic of South Africa).

As a key stakeholder, should the University proceed and organize this year's student guild elections via electronic voting?
